This is our favorite, started from Europe, or to be precise, European sailors and this are very well received in both Europe and US now. You can find them with affordable price range. Most fashion designers have their series of pea coats. We still stick to Armani, which make a lovely nice cut with superior material.

Beside, wool, you might find similar designs with leather or suede. In our opinion, we have seen all kinds of men wear pea coats on the street, but we yet to see any silly on anyone. Businessmen or students, this jacket really goes well with any style from jeans to dress slacks, boots to oxfords.

Go for what color? the best colors choices are black, navy and charcoal. But you can go for red if you really find this match you well. :)

Traditional Sheepskin / Shearling

We are sure some of you might have one of this. Very common in US. We find them look good on everyone, be it student or yuppies. They usually come in natural or chocolate, and both look fantastic, especially when they come to the mid-thigh.

The only drawback, this shearling jacket is really warm, and so we suggest you only wear this when it's really cold weather out there.

Leather Bomber Jacket

WOW!! another favorite, we're sure Tom Cruise in Top Gun had some influence on our fashion sense, do you agree? Originally created for pilots, which eventually became part of popular culture and apparel. These always come in several styles, such as A-1, G-1 and G-2. If you ask us, we always find G-2 is the smarter choice!

They come in a variety of colors, but what our recommendation? Yes, black or very dark brown. Try to avoid a bomber that has too much elastic at the waist and arms. I think they look best without, as you can recalled from Top Gun movie. But we think the elastic probably serves some purpose for a true pilot but we are talking about fashion here, so this elastic will only minus point rather than add fashion sense to us.

So that’s our winter coat advice. In short, we always find most mens winter coats look goods on you as long as they are simple and of good quality material.

Another collection which has caught my attention is that of Yohji Yamamoto’s. Straight cut suits from intricate floral prints may not be so much of a breakthrough for Spring/Summer collection, but landscape and geometrical prints on suits, shorts and shoes are enough to make me take a closer look. Paired with neutral shades of gray, black and blue, they make up a statement made for the runway.
Flat-top hats and knee-length cropped soft pants remind me of Alice’s mad hatter, taking me to another place as other pieces bring me to another time. Shorts and knee-length socks, ruffled tops and buckles on shoes make the collection a wearable one, contrastingly allowing the runway into the streets.

Man Fashion: Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011 Final Round Up Part II

The snazzy appeal of what we have yet to see was captured by Raf Simons on his SS 2011 Collection. A play of zippers, strings and waist bands is a refreshing take on the usual black and white canvas that is ultimately Spring and Summer in itself. Flowy pants and touch of orange, pastel green and a couple of yellowand black prints make for a sophisticated balance for the laid-back aura that the collection embodies.
Solid white and black vests and jackets are also a part of the ensemble. Skinny white shorts make for a casual street appeal that does not scream attention, yet commands simple amusement. Latex has played a relative part on some pieces, putting form and reaffirming the masculinity to the soft fabrics and asymmetrical, bold cuts.

Color, intricate prints and 3-D glasses helped Jean-Paul Gaultier with his collection this year. Once again, he has broken down the usual sights and pushed the edges of the Spring/Summer collection. Man Fashion Tips: How to Spot Fake Levi's 501 Jeans?

There has been an outbreak of knock-off items over the past few years. Started from clothing to handbags and shoes. Unfortunately, one of the with One of the most popular items of clothing has been Levi's. To Levi's fan like us, we find it extra careful when we get our jeans online.

Most imitate Levi's are 'Vintage' Levi's 501s with all or some of the details that make real vintage Levi jeans valuable. These can include:

A quick search on eBay will almost always reveal anywhere from 2 to 3 fake pieces to almost 100 in some cases. eBay seem to be doing very little in trying to remove these items from their site, or in fact, it is almost impossible to identify all these imitation. Nevertheless, we would like to share some of the obvious areas that you could spot easily.

1. Number on back of top button:
Almost always stamped '501' off-center or not stamped at all. While some non-vintage authentic Levi's 501s may have this stamped on them, vintage big 'E' will always have a single digit or letter stamped (6, 5, 2, W) or blank, but if it is blank, there are usually punch marks on it.

2. Elongated 'V-Stitch' on fly:

The rear patch on the right hip can also give clues to whether or not the garment is authentic.

4. Material:
If it is a hard leather like material, the jeans are suspect. Unless the jeans are from the 1930s and the patch has a 'jerky' look to it, very few other Levi's have or had a real leather like patch. Although this is not a surefire way of telling because some in the LVC (Levi vintage clothing line) and ones produced in places other than the United States (Japan, Canada for example) did actually come with a hard leather patch.

5. Labeling:
Another clue is the printing on the patch. If the patch material seems authentic, most times the printing is not. It is either off center, spelling mistakes, or barring all of that not being present they are labeled '501-0657' in black ink. If the jeans are anything other than black 501s from the 1980s - if they have that on the label than they are fake.
